Meet Sandra
For 18 years, I watched people try to find their place in the working world.
From the other side of the interview table, I've had the privilege of meeting thousands of people at very different points in their careers.
I spent 18 years in Talent Acquisition across Asia, working with organisations including Lazada, Mondelez, Honeywell and Momentive. Over time, I began noticing a pattern: some of the most capable people I met struggled to recognise their own capability.
They underestimated their experience, second-guessed their decisions, stayed in situations that no longer fit, and often stopped asking themselves what they actually wanted.
I recognised some of that in myself, too.
I'd once considered becoming a psychologist, before life took me into recruitment instead. It turned out to be its own way of learning about people. A front-row seat to careers in motion.
The more people I met, the more I became interested in the person behind the resume.
What gives someone confidence?
Why do capable people doubt themselves?
What happens when the career you've built no longer feels like the life you want?
Then life gave me a reason to pause.
In 2023, a health scare slowed me down and made me rethink what I was actually chasing. It reminded me that pausing isn't a weakness. Sometimes, it's what gives us the space to see our lives more clearly.
I didn't want to spend my life constantly waiting for the "right time" to do work that felt meaningful. I wanted to help people find their own clarity, courage and possibilities. And so, The Brewing Space began in 2024.
Today, I work with people across Asia, Europe, Mexico, and India, helping them navigate career decisions, confidence, leadership and change. Including those quieter moments when something no longer feels right, but you aren't quite sure what needs to change.
The career question might be where we start. But often, there's a bigger question underneath it:
What do I want? Who am I now? And what would it look like to build a life that actually feels like mine?
That's the work I care about.

Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me…
…with a slow cup of coffee, walking my dogs, or out in the park.
Some of my best coaching conversations happen on foot, which is why I offer walking sessions in nature for clients who want to think differently, quite literally.
I'm also an avid reader, drawn to non-fiction, creative non-fiction, philosophy, psychology and stories about grief, death, life and the strange, hopeful business of being human. Some authors I return to include Brené Brown, Adam Grant, Matt Haig, Mitch Albom and Yiyun Li.
I suppose that curiosity about people and what becomes possible when we see things differently has followed me through every chapter of my career. And perhaps that's what brought me here in the first place.
